Complaints policy
Report content. We will review it.
Use this policy to report content on AfterDark.ai that may be illegal, that may violate our Content Guidelines, or that may otherwise violate card-brand or merchant standards (including non-consensual intimate imagery, deepfakes, and prohibited scenarios).
How to complain
- Content and safety: abuse@afterdark.ai
- Apparent CSAM: safety@afterdark.ai — do not download or forward the content; include only the URL or story ID.
- NCII / deepfake of an identifiable person: ncii@afterdark.ai (subject “NCII Takedown”). We act on a verified request within 48 hours.
- In-product: use the report control on a story, character, or chat message when shown.
Include your account email, the story or job ID (or appeal id if you have one), and a short description of the issue.
Review
All complaints are reviewed and resolved within seven business days. A reviewer will examine the report, the content, and our moderation logs. Outcomes are sent to the complainant at the email they used to report.
Possible outcomes
- No action (content allowed under policy).
- Content removed or generation blocked; hashes retained where required.
- Warning, feature restriction, suspension, or account termination.
- Referral to NCMEC and/or law enforcement where required.
Appeals
To appeal a decision, email complaints@afterdark.ai within 30 days with the account identifier, the decision, and your explanation. A reviewer not involved in the original decision will respond, typically within seven business days.
If the complaint is that a real person was depicted without consent, that person (or an authorized representative) may appeal to have the content removed. If we disagree about whether consent is valid, the disagreement may be resolved by a neutral body (including a neutral arbitrator) at our expense, consistent with card-brand rules.
